Sourcing
Until I began sourcing these items, I had no idea how many of them were not readily available in both the US and the UK. As such, I have included some additional notes on a few of the products regarding their availability in each country.
UK Sources:
Dylusions Spray Ink: Oyster Paper Crafts at www.oysterstamps.co.uk
Though I have spent most of my time living in Bloomsbury, I prefer the expanded selection at the Hampstead location (Heath Street) of Cass Art. All of the following can be found there:
Liquitex Inks
Stabilo Woody 3-in-1 Sets
Primsacolor Colour Pencils
Liquitex Gloss Gel Medium
Liquitex Freestyle Brushes
If interested in purchasing the Stabilo Woody 3-in-1’s in individual colours: L Cornelissen & Son, 105 Great Russell Street, London WC1B 3RY (020 7636 1045).
Possible source for Hero Arts Ink, Distress and Tim Holtz, and 7 Gypsies Products (other than Amazon.co.uk): Blade Rubber Stamps, 12 Bury Place, London, WC1A 2JL (0845 873 7005).
US Sources:
Stabilo Woody 3-in-1 sets are available at Dickblick.com, and at most JoAnn’s stores. However, it is difficult to find a reliable supplier of the individual colours. Dickblick.com does carry a limited number; however, I have found several colours to be on backorder when I tried to purchase them. In the end, it was far less trouble to purchase a new set at JoAnn’s than to obtain individual colours as I had in London.
Special Note on Prismacolor Deco Colours: Since purchasing a 120 set at University a thousand years ago, most of the colours have replaced through purchasing of partial or unused sets at car boot, yard, and rummage sales. Not only have I been able to replace the set several times over for £3 (Thank you, Colchester!) or $5-10, depending on my location in the US, it had also escaped my notice several colours are no longer manufactured by Prismacolor. While they have recently revived some of the Deco colours, those used in this project have not yet been made available. Sets of these discontinued colours are occasionally available for purchase through www.Ebay.com and www.Ebay.co.uk.
