Art Journal Page Sketching

It is incredibly satisfying to create the perfect art journal page. However, an art journal is a place to play, to try ideas, and experiment with new supplies -- though it might not seem that way from the perfect journal pages on Pinterest or the seamless videos on YouTube.

This week I ditched the plan and played. Things are glued down, painted over, repainted, drawn on, and painted again...and I still would not consider the page "finished."

But that is the beauty of the sketch: no perfection required.
